

EVT is dedicated to creating content that speaks to the Black experience with integrity and dignity. Our media projects are executed with professionalism and meant not just to entertain, but to also serve as educational resources. We work with various aligned entities to develop programming that enhances our mission and vision to inspire, motivate and elevate all our audiences.

EVT has provided free training in professional media production, video production, content creation, storytelling, journalism and podcasting, for youths over 14 years old, and adults in Mt. Vernon and Westchester County. The NY State DCIS funded Program ran from late Summer 2023 to June of 2025.
Media Watch offers bi-weekly public affairs updates and analyses that are more than Eurocentric and examines media coverage of issues that impact individuals and communities of color.
The Doles (working title) is a completed Rough Cut one-hour documentary on the remarkable impact one community center has had on the lives of the people of Mt. Vernon, New York. This documentary captures the fraught yet uplifting history of the city through compelling individual stories.
These 2-Part Video, and 13-Episode Audio documentary series trace the historical arc of the long African-American battle against northern slavery and for full, first-class citizenship. It chronicles the contributions the original Africans who founded the New York African Burial ground - and their descendants - made to the survival and development of New York and the nation from the 1600s to the New York City Draft Riots of 1863. The riveting modern day David and Goliath battle to save and memorialize that sacred Burial Ground is also included!

An answer to the call of our community, Media Magic was our original youth/community outreach Media Center that EVT Educational Productions, Inc., launched in collaboration with the City of Mt. Vernon, New York in early 2013 for students 14 and up. Media Magic hosted journalism workshops and Incubator Lab tech programs that included video documentary production techniques and digital graphic arts training. Students ranged from Teenagers to Senior Citizens.

"THEN I'LL BE FREE TO TRAVEL HOME" traces the historical arc of the long African-American battle against northern slavery and for full, first-class citizenship. It is also a history of larger-than-life "freedom fighters" on many levels and of many races, who challenged slavery to change the course of this nation from its earliest Colonial days. This is that story as it unfolded in the northeastern part of what would eventually become the United States of America.
A 5-Part Series – 5 one-hour stand-alone episodes chronicling the Choral Music Legacy of the nation’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities from before the Civil War to the 21st Century. Hosted by former ABC and NPR Anchor Michele Norris and Produced in collaboration with Jazz88.3 WBGO-FM.
