Media Magic

An answer to the call of our community, Media Magic was our original youth/community outreach Media Center that EVT Educational Productions, Inc., launched in collaboration with the City of Mt. Vernon, New York in early 2013 for students 14 and up. Media Magic hosted journalism workshops and Incubator Lab tech programs that included video documentary production techniques and digital graphic arts training. Students ranged from Teenagers to Senior Citizens. Our collaboration with the City lasted from 2013 to 2018.

Media Training Program

EVT once again provided free training in professional media production, video production, content creation, storytelling, journalism and podcasting, for youths over 14 years old, and adults in Mt. Vernon and Westchester County. The NY State DCIS funded Program ran from late Summer 2023 to June of 2025.

We marry video documentary production techniques and training to the distribution outlets / ideas on multi-platforms, to motivate at-risk urban, suburban, and rural youngsters to "tune in," "turn on," and "activate" their own creativity, history and culture. In doing so, we equip them to compete with their peers nationally and internationally with the latest technological expertise. We show and teach them that being a provider does infinitely more for their growth, self-esteem and pocketbook than being a consumer. Free companion Lesson Plans are available to all those who purchase any of our video or audio content which also gives you access to our more expansive digital library.
