ABOUT US

EVT’s Media Training Program teaches professional media production skills and time-tested techniques of journalism, which are currently scarce in a world of viral videos.

Who Are We

We provide in-depth training in using professional cameras, lighting, and audio equipment, opening a window to careers in media. We also incorporate classes in writing, media literacy and cultural heritage.

The program teaches camera techniques, lighting, professional sound recording and content creation. EVT enables students to create content about their environment, their lives and their cultural history. The program teaches the basics of storytelling and journalism, such as ethics, research, intellectual property, producing a podcast, directing a team and writing their own stories.

Students gain leadership and team-building skills, through hands on training, while also growing in their ability to work independently. The program prepares them for future careers in media production, as well as provides critical thinking and life skills.
